David Murphey, Hawaii's premiere photojournalist has a favorite assignment. WEDDINGS.

"I've had a very fortunate career with amazing projects, from photographing national advertising campaigns in Beverly Hills, to memorable magazine covers. It's been a thrill meeting celebrities and famous faces," says David. "But, none of that compares to photographing a wedding, To see the bride and groom in love, the proud parents and excited friends. There's really nothing better!" His experience makes a difference. "One of the questions brides ask me the most is 'can you make me look skinny?' That's actually a very good question. It's true that the camera adds a few pounds. However, the key is good lighting. A great photographer can do wonders with light. So, my answer is always - yes."

David's clients include Coastal Living, Wine Spectator, Hualalai Resorts as well as over 300 happily married couples. He's also a contributor to Modern Luxury Hawaii.

Fresh. Clean. Our personal style.

Those are the ways couples describe the wedding albums that Kara Matsunaga designs. "As little girls we all dreamt about our wedding day," She says. "After years of planning, every detail becomes that much more important. The dress, bouquet, invitations... I think that your wedding album should reflect the way you dreamed your wedding to be. When I'm at your wedding, I focus on the details and moments that make your day special. It might be the flowergirl playing on the lawn, or just how your ring shines in the sunlight. I'll remember those details when it's time to create your album. It really is, all about the details." Kara is a graduate of Washington State University with a BFA in Digital Media. Prior to joining David Murphey Photography, she worked with JonesBook, the nations leading hand made wedding album company. View more PHOTOS of David & Kara.
